India Still an IT giant? Lifting Website data from Singapore.

Delhi Police has “lifted” website structure, data, content and even Images from Singapore’s police website.

This news was first broken by NDTV on Saturday.

It is shame to see things like this happen, specially when the world considers India as a IT destination?

If they were desperate to get some simple HTML pages done with text and images, least they could have dropped me mail. Than doing this HOLY shit.

I guess it wouldnt be completely wrong to say that Delhi Police has done what Software Engineers in India do it on a daily basis.

And just in case there’s a biological attack and you get anthrax, there’s no need to panic.

I guess we should raise funds to buy Sonia & Co to buy a televisions, so that they atleast hear, see and understand that the candidate they are supporting has a background!!!!

Why are they doing such things? Keep some respect for the Man, whom she is replacing.

8 Random Facts

Huh? The toughest thing to do on this planet is write about self. That really drives me nuts.

At times its good to write about urself, you will be less confused about urself

Okay, so guys-n-gals read the rules first!!!

6. I cant eat junk, attimes okay, but most of the time in hotels/offices everywhere its JUNK  :(

Heard of Myers Briggs Personality Type? If not, dont panic, even I heard and came to know about it today morning after Winslie’s mail.

I was surprised that such tests can really help you understand your self better and so does others can also.

It deals with ones psychological ability to think. Everyone has there own unique way to think and approach but when your planning for team work, everyones Personality Type comes into picture.

I also felt that, these TYPEs can also change with age, work, environment and other factors. Its about how you see things in different conditions and situtations. Though some people may resist this change.

I must admit that in India, this practice is yet to mature. Yes, some companies take Psychological tests but then it’s about the same meaning in different contexts.

Have you even imagined that the benefits we are taking of Technology even the terrorist can take?

Imagine how dangerous it can be?

Cyber police says, it can trace the emails sent, scan them and then identify the anti-social elements.

Anti-Social #1[Place 1]: Writes the message in the email/blog and saves it without sending.

Anti-Social #2[Place 2]: Opens with same userID and Password, reads the same saved message and logs Off. 

What can the police do in such a situation?

This sure may sound, simple but trust me it can prove very costly and deadly as well.

I was going through a Daily Newspaper, The Times of India, 12th june edition, in the front-page an article quoting ” Sena Cubs are part of target website”, Which was written in the context of Shiv-sena’s attacking some cyber cafes to protest against Social Networking site, Orkut.com.

Shiva Sena’s attacks were due to some posts/articles on orkut quoting wrong about Shiva Sena supremo, Bal Saheb Thackery and his party.

What’s the point in attacking cyber cafes? Orkut is run by those people.

One more interesting fact is that, the “cubs” of shiv sena have their profiles and more than hundred friends on orkut.

Why dont they break computers at their home, rather than cyber cafes?

I was wondering, if this is going to be the mentality, soon sites like Desimartini, yaari.com etc will have treat and also causing treat to wanna-bes.

As far as I have read, it was in year 1983 when these two icons came together, then young, aggressive and visionaries, Steve Jobs and Bill Gates again met during the D conference.

For some reason, I have always been a big fan of Steve Jobs. I know, he knows and so does everyone knows, he cant sit and code nor can he design!!!

But, then it takes guts, to visualize a product, the beauty, the impact and above all the market and then RUDELY get the work done.

One thing about Apple and Steve jobs is that they think what MSFT cannot. They think innovation. They think beauty. They think creativity.

I would like all my readers to read the novel named “ICON” on Steve Jobs. His autobiography.

Yes, Thats my state of mind now and will be for sometime. Today, 6th June 2007. I have learned a new way of living bit relaxingly.

Success as they say, will not come over night, takes continous hard work!!!! Its not a matter of “Chance”.

Lets see, how much will it take for me.

I would love to share it with you folks, but you know its better to practice before preaching!!! Thats what I will be doing for next 6 months.

Examine a Clarity: Fav Editor?

I have noticed my changing patterns and love for new editors. I remember my days in indictrans, where first I feel in love with KWrite editor.

1. Kwrite, I loved it coz, it was clean, clear and simple one.

2. Then slowly entered to VIm Editor.

3. Then Shifted to Emacs. Intially I hated it for complexity but then loved this editor…for all its shortcuts.

4. Now, when I run MSFT operating system, I was using Notepad, then  shifted to EditPlus.

5.  And, now my new love is Aptana IDE. Its awesome and it Rocks!!!!

What I look for a Editor?

Simplicity, powerful, syntax-highlighting, customization, multiple-tabs, support for PHP, CSS, MySQL, HTML, Javascript.

Now, you must have seen many dot-com companies are doing advertising via Auto way. How about some famous product company?

Yes, Oracle. I caught it near CMH Road yesterday.

It sure must be a simple-cheap-effective way of spreading the word. It is understood that portals needs lot of traffic to get their business running. I dont understand the concept behind such large product companies?

I mean, are they looking for bulk? I dono, may be if you can figure out, let me know.
